Around in a circle the hobbit-children play
Toys from Dale are seen everywhere
Food and drink are plentiful
Raining, so they say
Bilbo's eleventy-first birthday
Such a large number
With a large party to go with
On September the twenty-second
Half the Shire had been invited
The others came anyways
Every hobbit was welcome
And everyone recieved presents
Gandalf's fireworks had not been seen
E'er the Old Took had passed away
Only Bilbo could remember them
The young hobbits heard only though legends
Blues, greens, and yellows
The colours that were seen
Then Gandalf lit a larger one yet
Twas a dark crimson colour that was wrapped
Screams and shouts were heard
As a red dragon flecked with gold
Flew o'er their heads
Snapping and snarling
Bilbo was hidden by Frodo
As the dragon passed by three times
Then it somersaulted across the crowd
And exploded o'er Bywater
"Time for dinner!" Bilbo cried
And one hundred fourtey-four guests
Walked as one large group
Towards the highly decorated Party Tree
Thus started the feast
For long minutes the relatives of Bilbo
Ate and talked
Not minding that the hour grew late
When they were 'filling up the corners'
Bilbo rose to give a speech
Some groaned but merry most were
They banged their mugs against the table
Bilbo greeted his guests
And called them a gross
Then, quite suddenly, he disappeared!
Quite gone with smoke and a bright light
Where had Bilbo gone?
Had he finally cracked for the final time?
But no matter, the food and drink was still here
Let Bilbo find more gold, they'll have his free food
Toys from Dale are seen everywhere
Food and drink are plentiful
Raining, so they say
