The night is drawing close around us
How much longer will we last, I wonder
The stars that once shone bright and fair in the sky
Are all covered by this shadow
The hope that once kindled in my heart
Now fades to a tiny faded light
Still I feel you within my heart

Or will it flicker and die like so much already?
