Magic in Narnia is abundant, yet magic users are few. Only 18 years have passed since the fall of the White Witch, thus Narnians still have a mistrust of magic users. The High King Peter has had his hands full dealing with the acts of terror against the few loyal magic users.
How Magic Works
Every person capable of using magic (hags, humans, most humanoids) can only use magic techniques after training. There are a very few that can perform some very simple techniques without training. This select few, often called 'Naturals', are indeed very few; usually only 1 in 100 are able to do such a feat.
If one is not a Natural, then one must have training to use even the simplest magic, as mentioned before. To be able to use magic, one must realize that there is a flow of magical energy flwing in everything, called navita. Navita is used to complete magic techniques. Even though everyone and everything has a flow of navita, when magic is used, one also uses navita. If one does too many magical techniques or too many large techniques, then one will run out of navita, causing the caster to have to rest to build more up.
Everyone's navita levels are different. Usually, Naturals have a higher navita level then non-Naturals. It has also been noticed that higher level magic users have higher navita levels then beginners, but there have been unusually high levels found in beginners.
There are many levels of magic and the higher the level, the higher the grade of difficulty as well as higher the amout of navita needed and used. Below are listed the known levels as well as some example techniques:
Coming soon...have to finish the example list...just know that there are 5 levels...
One must also note that a magic user can only master one of the elements and can only do a few low level moves of a couple of the other elements. The 5 elements are earth, fire, wind, water, and ice.
I hope this explains how the magic system is set up. Please let me know if you are still unclear about it. It's all done except I need to finish up the example techniques.
